Hello, lovely Homespun friends,

As we are approaching the end of July, it seems all hope of endless sunny days are long gone.  Far fewer than we would hope for in the middle of summer.  I don't know if it is the same where you live, but here on Dartmoor it is generally a bit cooler and the weather has it's own certain unique charm.  Despite this, I did manage to get out in the garden for a weekend of weeding and getting the spring pots with bulbs tucked away under their soil blankets, ready to store away for the winter.

Summer roses always remind me of my childhood home where our front garden had borders full of scented blooms.  Inspired by this nostalgia we decided here at The Homespun Loft to expand our growing fabric flower collection and it seemed so right at this time of year to add bouquets of roses.

I arranged the roses into bouquets of six flowers that complemented each other in a hand tied bouquet style.  The colours chosen are all soft and muted and have a vintage look.  I decided on naming them Old Golds, Blooming reds and Blushing Pinks - Old English Rose.

Presented with tissue paper, cellophane, and a large homespun ribbon, accompanied by a With Love stamped brown tag.

Whether you choose to keep them or share with a loved one, I hope they bring a little happiness to their lovely new home.

Until next time dear friends

Warm hugs, Charlotte xx
