Seasonal raggy wreathes

Well what a wash out Summer...here on Dartmoor we've had nothing but grey, cloudy, wet days.  The odd peek of a yellow sun that smiles for a little while before being covered up again with a cloudy blanket.  On days like this I love sorting out my fabrics.  I have been running this business for well over 20 years and in that time I have accumalated an impressive selection of fabrics.  Most I buy for the shop, some I buy for my sewing but every fabric has a little "end-y" bit left over after projects.  They are kept and carefully stored away as these pieces are like little treasures, I love to place them together to create something beautiful.

This is a fun and messy job.  All the fabrics are cut into strips and tied onto wire rings, threads everywhere but when the wire ring is finally full, I love to add a beautiful bow to finish it off.  I have been making these for the seasons, lovely autumn and christmas as well as spring/summer.  I'll be introducing raggy garlands too in the next couple of months, keep a look out for those.
